about

In the 1980s I bought a Yamaha CX5 Music Computer. Back then, people thought the device was amazing. Now the average phone can do more.

Later I bought a TR1707 drum machine, precursor to the famous TR808. Then I upgraded to an ESQ11 Sequencer.

Unfortunately, I only managed to record a few pieces with the ESQ-1 because I loaned it to the guitarist in my band at the time. He then took the gear to Melbourne with him and I never saw it again. I couldn't afford a new sequencer and Portastudio so that was the end of my association with electronic music, until now.

The old recordings were kept on cassette tapes in a drawer for over 20 years before being converted to digital, so there's tape damage and speed issues.

However, mixing Tim's and my album improved my Audacity skills so I decided to tidy up these odd little songs of a time long passed. Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed remixing.

For more "organic Music, listen to Lounge Room Zoom, which features Tim's and Grea's first-choice tracks.
